What A Wonderful World
It was a beautiful drive in this morning.
As I drove, I found myself dreaming about what is ahead and at the same time hugging onto some memories I carry with me.
We attended another funeral this weekend.
We lost Micheal’s Uncle Harold.
I did not know the man well but the day still touched me.
This was real life for the step-daughters who had loved him.
It was real life for his brothers and sister who had to work through their loss and sense of nearness and understanding of mortality.
I had to spend some time researching an old favorite of mine once I got to work.
I was amazed to find that Louis had over 188 CD’s on one site alone.
“Hello Dolly” will always make me smile as I saw that movie with my Grandma.
But my favorite has to be..
“What A Wonderful World”
The sound of Louis letting his talents love these words below
Is sure to bring a smile to your face.
I see trees of green........ red roses too
I see em bloom..... for me and for you
And I think to myself.... what a wonderful world.
I see skies of blue..... clouds of white
Bright blessed days....dark sacred nights
And I think to myself .....what a wonderful world.
The colors of a rainbow.....so pretty ..in the sky
Are also on the faces.....of people ..going by
I see friends shaking hands.....sayin.. how do you do
Theyre really sayin......i love you.
I hear babies cry...... I watch them grow
Theyll learn much more.....than Ill never know
And I think to myself .....what a wonderful world
The colors of a rainbow.....so pretty ..in the sky
Are there on the faces.....of people ..going by
I see friends shaking hands.....sayin.. how do you do
Theyre really sayin...*spoken*(I ....love....you).
I hear babies cry...... I watch them grow
*spoken*(you know their gonna learn
A whole lot more than Ill never know)
And I think to myself .....what a wonderful world
Yes I think to myself .......what a wonderful world.
